Robotic Workshop: Interacting with Robots Through Programming

Introduction:

NAO is a humanoid robot for interaction. It can sense people and process simple dialogues in English, Putonghua, Japanese and simple Cantonese. NAO has dedicated sensors, motion control, vision and speech recognition, you can ask it to perform tasks such as entertaining, tracking objects and many other programmed tasks. This workshop is for who in interested to explore with robot and want to know the basics of NAO which can be programmed with a software called Choregraphe. After the workshop, participants are expected to know the basic of the NAO’s system and be able to use Choregraphe to programme NAO. Some common coding concepts such as logic flow, variables, conditionals and the robot’s functions will be introduced.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Quota: 20 students for each workshop
