Seminar on Community of Practice (CoP): Field Experience Supervision in Teacher Education

Abstract: Classroom observation is often regarded as a naturalistic method to observe those classroom practices of teachers that are hypothesized to be effective or have positive impacts on certain student outcomes. In this seminar, Dr. James Ko, from the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL), will introduce you to four main approaches of classroom observation research: traditional systematic observation, lesson study, best (evidence) practice, and meta-analysis.
