Seminar

Abstract

In this presentation, I am going to talk and share my experience of supervising students, research interns and research assistants on doing graduation projects, thesis, and research projects. I will start with the way of helping students to identify and select research topic; introduce some technologies (besides email and powerpoint slides) that could help tracking the progress and facilitating the discussions and communications; prepare venue for students and research interns/assistants to disseminate their works; and, at the end, lead them walking through the academic paper writing and publication process. If we still have some time left in the end, I would like to highlight some important points for writing and submitting your work to high quality academic conferences and journals.
