Abstract
This workshop equips academics with the skills to implement student-centred learning rubrics effectively. Grounded in robust research, it explores the theory and practical applications of rubrics. Participants will learn to create and use self-assessment rubrics, covering both analytic and holistic approaches. We will discuss best practices and hands-on activities, where attendees will first see the self-assessment rubrics recently developed for use at HKBU. The session addresses implementation challenges and shares strategies, drawing on real-world examples and participant experiences. Ideal for educators aiming to enhance assessment practices and support reflective, autonomous learners.
