Robotic Arms for AI Reinforcement Learning

Robotic Arms for AI Reinforcement Learning

Introduction

Reinforcement learning is a major area of artificial intelligence in which machines learn by trial and error. It is also the underlying learning mechanism that enables AI to defeat the world champion in the chess game of Go.

Workshop: Robotic Arms for AI Reinforcement Learning

The workshop aims to help students to understand basic components in reinforcement learning through teaching a robotic arm to play air hockey and crawl.

Workshop Content

  • Play air hockey with a trained AI agent
  • Train an AI agent to play air hockey through direct interaction to experience the working of reinforcement learning
  • Train virtual AI agent to crawl via adjusting different parameters involved in reinforcement learning algorithm
